❓ Live Class FAQ’s

What do I need to bring? A materials list is emailed after you register, tailored to that week's subject. Nothing fancy required — use the paints, brushes and paper you’re familiar with.

I'm new to watercolor — should I start with Beginner or Intermediate? If you've never picked up a brush, or you mostly follow along with tutorials for fun, start with Beginner. If you're comfortable with basic washes and want to stretch into figures or perspective, Intermediate is a great next step. Not sure? Message me before you book and I'm happy to help you choose.

What if I sign up for Intermediate and it feels like too much? No worries — email me and we'll find you a spot in an upcoming Beginner session instead.

Is this the same content as your free online  tutorials?   These live sessions happen before the month's tutorials are released, so you're learning the technique first, with real-time feedback, peer help and camaraderie,  and the chance to ask questions as you go — something the asynchronous videos can't offer for sure!

What if I can't make my session?  I can’t do rescheduling or rebooking, but every session is recorded and sent to registered students afterward, so you won't miss the content — you'll just miss the live Q&A.

Can I request my own subject instead of the scheduled one?  At this time, I’m not doing custom sessions, but may have that offering in 2027.

How far ahead do I need to register? Registration is open until 24 hours before class time.  The maximum per session is 5 artists, so if a session speaks to you, grab your spot :)

Can I book both classes on the same Wednesday?  Yes! Choose the "Both Classes, One Wednesday" package — Beginner runs 5:30–7pm, Intermediate runs 7:30–9pm, with a 30-minute break in between.
